Wanted to make Lilac a new Ref Sheet for this years Artfight.

Btw if anyone has Aether Foundation OCs and is okay with interactions I would love to make OCs meet. Just in case someone is interested.

I wanted to rant a little about her Pokemons personalities right here.

Skitty: it's a very happy and easy going going skitty... typical skitty behavior. Due to an accident it will lose its back legs at some point and gets walking wheels. After some recovery and care it will happily nyom around the Aether Foundation.

Dusknoir: kind of the caretaker of the group, quite serious old man with a good heart but occasionally gets bullied and annoyed by Gengar a lot which just tires him. Is also an ancient Alpha Pokemon that was found randomly and send into research if Totem and Alpha Pokemon are related. Lilac enjoys Dusknoirs calm and wise demeanor a lot and may or may not has a favorite amongst her Pokemon.

Gengar: a very chaotic guy that will do anything but not listen to anything that Lilac says. A true troublemaker that is not feeling bad about any Chaos he created... maybe only when Dusknoir starts scolding him.

Banette: a very happy and cuddly Banette that prefers being treated as a plushy instead of battling. And that's exactly what Lilac does. (Whenever Faba isn't the one getting used as plushy...)

Darkrai: I just love Darkrai since I saw it I have no idea how she got one but I will think of it. PFF. But I imagine they have a similar dynamic of "hurt soul x pure soul that helps them" (I have this trope too often help)

Altaria: Just a cuddly airheaded bird that likes being used as bed. He always tries his best, does stupid things instead but it's all meant by heart and that's what counts.

The phone is held up by Hop, who walks with Dovewing and Ivypool to the stadium entrance, sky so dark with the night that the only glow comes from the stadium lights beaming down onto them. Allister can be seen waiting on the other end.

“You gotta walk out yourself here, mate.” Hop reminds her, “Feeling hyped?”

“Yes! With all the training I’ve done, this is going to be as easy as swallowing a minnow! The team’s hyped up too.”

“Are you sure you need to do this? You already got the badge, right? You don’t need to fight him again.” Ivypool chimes in.

“Yeah.. but I want to, Ivy. More for myself than anything.”

“I just hope he doesn’t shred you to mouse-dust again.”

“After this, I’m going to need another lesson on these sayings of yours.”

“I’m willing to teach!” Dovewing says, before nodding to both of them and moving out, Allister walking out from the other end.

Hop sits down next to Ivypool, who mutters “I hope she knows what she’s doing.”

“It’s Dovewing. It’ll be a piece of cake.”

Unlike last time, Dovewing leads with Twigpaw the Thwackey, much to Allister’s shock. But it proves worth it when she calls for a Razor Leaf and a Knock off. Mimikyu is also met with the same fate of Knock offs, but a well time Slash causes Twigpaw to fall.

With Mimikyu already on low, she sends out Burrpaw the Drilbur to finish them off, them weaving through another slash and Metal Claw doing the work.

After Mimikyu goes down, Burrpaw begins glowing.

“Wait, now?!” Hop gasps.

After the light clears, a stronger Excadrill appears in its place, Burrpaw letting out a confident roar. Dovewing bounces in place, but remains focused on battle as Allister’s Cursola comes out next. Burrpaw is able to get them low, but falls before making the final hit.

Raccoonpaw the Linoone takes their place, and one good Snarl is enough. Now all that remains is the Gengar, who appears in a puff of smoke to Gigantamax. Raccoonpaw also echoes the size increase and goes for the Max Darkness.

Gengar follows it up with a Max Guard.

Dovewing almost leaps with her next command as Raccoonpaw follows it up with yet another Max Darkness, and the explosions begin as Gengar falls.

“I knew it! I knew it!”

“I guess Dovewing really does know her stuff, huh?”

“Of course she does, mate! She- what?!”

“AGAIN?!”

Once again, a glow appears, this time around Raccoonpaw who seems to take in the moon’s shine from above. No longer a Linoone, now an Obstagoon. With the battle over, Dovewing leaps at them in celebration, and they respond with a new skill they’ve obtained with the power of arms—a hug.

She and Raccoonpaw approach Allister, and seem confused when he offers her a badge. Dovewing talks with him for a moment, before returning to Hop and Ivypool.

“Is everything okay?”

Dovewing looks nervous. “He says he never offered me a badge before now.”

“WHAT?!”

Heathers Pokemon Teams

This is moreso for me than for anyone else, I'm combining my two biggest hyperfixations into one big jumbled mess

In addition to providing the teams I will provide reasons as to why I chose these members

Some explanations are from canon, some are from my own headcannons, just whatever I could use to fill out the team

Blazkien: I wanted her to have a fire starter, and I felt that Blaziken was the closest to Chandler in terms of vibes

Also I really like Blazkien sooooo

Jolteon: I wanted the Heathers to use the original three eeveelutions, and she gets Jolteon bc I wanted something to reflect her and Mac's longstanding friendship, so she gets the yellow one to represent Mac and Mac gets Flareon, a redish one to represent Chandler

Nidoqueen: Its associated with royalty, literally having Queen in the name, and was chosen to reflect Chandler's status at the top of the hierarchy

Kindgra: Same reasoning as Nidoqueen, but this time with King

Tsraeena: Same reasoning as the other 2, but this time with Tsar. Plus, Tsareena is a strong looking feminine pokemon that is well known for its kicks (Kickin' nerds in the nose)

Annihilape: Chandler is a very aggressive person and can push people to their limits, as seen during the party with Veronica, like how Annihilape has to push itself so hard with rage that it literally dies

Sceptile: Other Grass starters have more Duke vibes, Serperior and Meowscarada coming to mind, but Sceptile is a counterpart of Blazkien, the starter that is weak to it out of the trio, like how Chandler is the one that holds the power in the Heathers and they have to listen to her, lest they be beaten down

Vaporeon: As I stated above the Heathers each have one of the original eeveelutions, with Duke having Vaporeon, because that was the one that got left over

Honchkrow: Vibes. Thats the only reason, it just looks like a Pokemon Duke would use

Scizor: Its a green pokemon that evolves into a red one, like how when Chandler dies she takes the red scrunchie, evolving as a person.

And what is its only weakness, a 4x one at that? Fire, the type of Chandler's starter

Pyroar: Vibes again, but there's also the fact that Pyroar is also a regal Pokemon, representative of how Duke so badly wants what Chandler has, the top spot. Plus, Pyroar has the ability Rivalry, adding on to that metaphor.

Gallade: Martha has a Gardevoir, and the dichotomy between the two Pokemon that started out the same but grew apart as they evolved represents how Duke and Martha grew apart as they grew older.

Ampharos: The theme for Mac's team is Pokemon that are friendly and that she can hug, bc I headcannon that she loves animals and wants to hug them all, and Ampharos is the most huggable of the three stage electric types (electric bc yellow, three stage to go along with the other's starters)

Flareon: Explained above, but Flareon is also the most cuddly looking of the original eeveelutions, I imagine hugging it would be like hugging a giant heating pad

Bewear: Like Mac, Bewear looks friendly and fluffy looking, but is actually insanely strong and one punch could knock you out

Lapras: These last three are just kinda vibes, Lapras just looks really friendly

Gengar: Many people see Gengar as this scary, malicious Pokemon, but Mac would see that Gengar have no bad intentions and just want to pull harmless pranks on people. Plus its sprite looks like its opening its arms for a big hug

Alolan Ninetales: Alolan Vulpix looked so fluffy that I said that there is no way Mac wouldn't want one

Blastoise: Out of all the water starters Blastoise fit Veronica's vibe the best. Veronica gets a water starter not only because its blue and that's her color, but Water beats Fire, Chandler's typing, just like how she was the one to end Chandler's reign

Espeon: Veronica gets a eeveelution just like the rest of the Heathers, but she gets Espeon, which wasn't one of the original three, showing how although she's in the group, she's still not fully in the group. Espeon was chosen out of the remaining ones based entirely on vibes

Corviknight: Vibes.

Chandelure: Also Vibes, but there's a little more to it, I headcannon that Veronica loves History and Chandelure is this old haunted Chandelier and I can see her wanting to learn about where it used to live and stuff like that

Hisuian Liligant: Also tying into the history thing, Hiusian Variants are from the past and Veronica would totally be intrigued by that. Also Vibes (are you sensing a pattern yet?)

Aurorus: I wanted her and JD to have a pair of Pokemon to represent their love (bleh, PolyHeathers+Veronica forever), and I pretty much arbitrarily chose the Kalos Fossils bc I liked the dynamic they have, Aurorus being Beautiful while Tyrantrum is destructive

Hydreigon: JD has a temper that he struggles to keep in, and Hydreigon is known for going on destructive rampages when it is angered, similar to how a certain someone decides that blowing up a school is the best reaction to getting broken up with

Lucario: Lucario is a solemn, lonely Pokemon, kinda like how JD explains that he's been alone due to how often he has to move, but also very mysterious, also like JD, which was the thing that intruged Veronica about him

Crobat: Vibes, plus Crobat is used by a lot of evil team members in the games so I guess it kinda fits with JD considering that he's the villian

Vanilluxe: Slushies

Basculegion: A psuedo-counterpart to Veronica's Hisuian Lilligant, but it also represents how his mother's death weighs upon him so, because Basculegion is surrounded by the souls of its dead Basculin bretheren

Tyrantrum: Counterpart to Veronica's Aurorus, a very destructive Poekmon like his Hydreigon

Gardevoir: As stated previously, it is a counterpart to Duke's Gallade. It's mega also looks like a woman in a wedding dress, symbolizing how she dreams of getting married to Ram

Sylveon: Vibes, I wanted her to have all Fairy types and this was the one that fit the most, despite the fact that it kinda throws off the whole eeveelution metaphor I was going for

Mimiyku: Mimiyku is a very lonely pokemon that tries so hard to fit in, and I feel like Martha would sympathize and pity it, and they would be each other's friend. She knows what its like to be rejected and unwanted, so why not be rejected and unwanted together?

Galarian Rapidash: Unicorn Sweater

Azumarill: It and Togekiss are both big, bulky fairy types, but instead of this being a "Martha is fat and they are fat", it shows how Martha is using her strengths to her advantage. Sure she might be a bigger girl, but she's owning it and not letting it hold her back

Togekiss: Building off of that, Azumarill and Togekiss both start out as weak baby pokemon, and while most people would cast them aside, not wanting to put in the effort to train them or seeing them as too weak to bother with, Martha would see their potential and raise them right.

Hero and Partner Week 2025 June 3rd: Recovery

June 3rd Recovery @heropartnerweek

Day 3 of Hero and Partner Week with the choices of Trust, Confrontation, and Recovery and I had decided to go with Recovery for this prompt with my Rescue Team Red/DX era Team Courage with Hero Rosethorn the Cubone and Chara the Charmander. As for why I picked Recovery for them, well we all know the story how Gengar framed the Hero making everyone believe they were the cursed human and so the Hero and their Partner had to go on the run as fugitives to clear their name. As you can imagine upon their return with their new friend Absol you gotta admit they must’ve been utterly exhausted through their very long journey and probably still bruised up especially after their tussle against Team ACT before Ninetails jumped in. So this will take place after the Pokemon Square citizens chased Gengar and Rosethorn and Chara went home.

While Rosethorn immensely enjoyed watching Gengar and his team being chased by the square citizens after lying to them. She couldn't help feeling the fatigue hit her again and lean on her bone. The journey as a fugitive had been immaculate and the journey back home hadn’t exactly been easy either even with Frost as an additional member making the journey back slightly easier. In all Rosethorn was exhausted and no doubt Chara and Frost were as well. Yet her charmander partner looked at her with concern despite the obvious fatigue on her face.

“You ok Rosethorn?” Chara asked.

“I will be once I lie down in a proper bed.” Rosethorn huffed.

“Yes, the journey was a tiring one, especially for you two.” Frost nodded calmly. “While I'm sure your friends would like to catch up with you, it's best if you replenish your strength.”

“I agree to that.” Rosethorn nodded, before a thought came to her. “Hey tell you what, why don't you two stay with me at the base tonight? We can ask Wigglytuff for the Friend Area for Frost tomorrow and your area is a bit of a walk Chara. I’d hate for you to collapse on the way there.”

“H-Heh that does sound like something I’d do.” Chara admitted with a weak smile. “Ok sounds like a plan. Pretty sure you have spare stuff in the base so Frost and I can make some makeshift beds for us.”

“Then it's settled.” Rosethorn nodded. With the other Pokemon distracted it was easy for the three to sneak off to their Rescue Team Base. Once they reached it Rosethorn couldn't help but be a little teary eyed upon seeing it.

I didn't think I’d ever come back here… She thought. She heard a small sniffle and looked at Chara who rubbed her eyes and gave a sheepish smile.

“Ah sorry.” Chara apologized. “I guess I'm more tired than I thought.”

Rosethorn gave a sad smile. Chara had been an absolute trooper during their whole journey but even she had limits. Rosethorn gently patted Chara’s back glancing at Frost who thankfully didn’t say a word letting them have a moment to which she was grateful for.

“Come on, let's get inside.” Rosethorn said. They nodded and walked in the base, to their surprise it was spotless without any dust with fresh food, water, and supplies tucked away on the makeshift shelves Rosethorn had made ages ago in order to keep in stuff. Even a basket of Rosethorn’s and Chara’s favorite berries was tucked to the side.

“Who could’ve…?” Chara whispered, stunned.

“It… It must’ve been Caterpie and the others.” Rosethorn huffed a small laugh. “They did say they’d watch the place for us until we got back.”

Caterpie, Metapod, Diglett, and the Jumpluffs had sent Rosethorn and Chara off before they left awaiting their return to clear their names and until then promised to take care of their Rescue Team Base. Rosethorn couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude when she heard a sob and saw Chara holding in tears. The Human turned Cubone walked to her dear partner and hugged her close.

“We truly have wonderful friends.” Rosethorn smiled softly. Chara’s breathing hitched before she began to sob, letting out all the emotions she had pent up. Rosethorn knew despite her happiness up at Mt Freeze, Chara had been holding in tears as well. She let Chara cry on her shoulder and then felt soft fur and saw Frost curling around them clearly to give them silent support. Rosethorn had to smile at that, despite being a new member to their team it was obvious they had found a true friend in the Absol and was glad he decided to come with them. Once Chara stopped crying they moved about Frost finding and getting the bandages and healing berries, Chara getting berries and water while Rosethorn got extra straw to use for her bed making it big enough for all three. Once they were patched up they ate their fill until they were stuffed no longer needing to worry about running out of food now and drank large gulps of water. Once they were fully sated they felt sluggish and exhausted. They slowly walked to the larger bed and curled up on it huddled together. Rosethorn felt the fatigue and drowsiness about to claim her and for the first time since their long perilous journey she let it happen. Finally feeling warm, safe, and home.

Basically Pokémon Arven meeting a friendly Mandela catalogue Alternative Reader/Y/n who has a team of a grumpy Gengar yet affectionate,a motherly yet quickly protective Houndoom and a Cheerful and Innocent Mimikyu.Primarily they were the Pokémon of a Bad trainer who didn’t treat them well and well generally other people so Reader basically decided “say goodbye to your free trial of life” and basically takes theyre identity and Pokémon so they can have a better life? :D

As an Alternate living in the Pokémon world, you were always searching for a target. Someone's identity to steal.

Of course, this was no easy task...considering certain Pokémon types were attuned to their trainer's emotions (especially psychic and fairy types).

So they'd know right away if anything changed about their personalities and overall "energy".

One day, you see a boy with platinum-blond hair challenging some kid who looked rather mean, especially when they yelled at their own Pokémon, tearing them down rather than lifting them up.

"Stop whining, Mimikyu. I'm not wasting a burn heal on you just because you missed the Play Rough! You had a 90% chance of hitting that stupid pepper and you blew it!"

"Hey. Yelling at your Pokémon isn't gonna win you this fight." The boy starts, giving his Scovillain a healing potion. "I'll give you this turn to do the right thing..or else that burn is gonna knock it out-"

"Don't tell me what to do! We're gonna power through this and win!!"

But as you see...that trainer's arrogance becomes their downfall as Mimikyu attacked but didn't do enough damage, eventually fainting from the stress and the lingering burn effect.

The battle drags on as they bring out Gengar next, who manages to take down his Pokémon in one hit. But as their trainer cheers, the ghost's grimace becomes a happy smile as they try hugging them to celebrate--

Only to be pushed away roughly.

"Get off me! I don't want your Lick to paralyze me!"

Your anger slowly grows when you see how sad Gengar looks...and you begin festering empathy for these innocent creatures.

The last one sent out is a Houndoom who goes in and attacks, effortlessly taking down another one of the boy's (whose name you learned was "Arven" by this point) Pokémon.

Yet she didn't drink up the praise her trainer gave, instead sending them a cold glare that they returned in kind.

"What? If you're gonna be ungrateful, then go back in your pokeball, bitch....why are you growling?! Technically you're a female dog and I'm using the right term!"

That's the final straw for you.

And the moment you settled on a good target.

You began following their daily routine, seeing how truly sweet their main three Pokémon were..but also recognizing that this wasn't the first time they've been verbally abused.

The Houndoom was motherly towards Gengar and Mimikyuu...and only followed her trainer's orders to protect them both from punishment.

But you decided to be the one who protects all three of them.

So you tormented the trainer for a while, convincing them they were being haunted by a ghost-type and making them look crazy in front of all their peers and future challengers.

And you erased all their pokedex progress.

By the end, you killed and replaced them entirely in their sleep, and you kept the disguise up well (aside from the flaws typical to your species).

Yet all your "new Pokémon" noticed was your abrupt change of heart....though it took Houndoom a while to genuinely warm up to you.

She only did after you gave Gengar a much-deserved hug--they were crying tears of joy and at first she thought you upset them until she saw the smile.

After that, they were all willing to battle alongside you, especially Mimikyuu who was cheerier than ever whenever you brought them out, doing your best given what knowledge you gained from watching other trainers.

You spoiled them with treats, courtesy of the human scum you replaced and the thousands of pokedollars they selfishly kept for themselves.

When you crossed paths with Arven, he can immediately tell something's different about who he considers the "rudest trainer in Paldea".

You tell him that you're not a Pokémon, but a creature similar to a Ditto, explaining that you basically took their identity and Pokémon to give them a better life.

While he thinks identity theft is a very serious crime....he finds your actions justifiable and befriends you from there on.

Reader has Ash's personality and with Ash's pokemon partner, Pikachu (and also other Ash's pokemon and the pokemon he befriend/care of (Including Legendary pokemon) as well)…

Yay for Pokemon!! I actually had to look Ash up on what Pokemon he’s had over the years, as I’ve only seen the original anime series, so I picked out the team for this request from his previous partners.

-You inhaled deeply; your eyes closed as you heard the roar of the crowds on the other side of the door. It wasn’t your first time in a massive crowd like this, so you weren’t nervous, and it wasn’t the first time you were in a dangerous situation, having dealt with serval situations throughout your life where you had put your life at stake.

-Brunnhilde was hesitant, making a child fight for humanity, despite having the strongest team of your life, your six partners all coming with you after you passed, passing alongside you.

-When she brought up the idea of having you being a backup fighter you immediately agreed, showing no fear whatsoever, you actually looked excited which did concern the Valkyrie, angering her that you had faced so much and you were still so young, only being eleven.

-You were a little confused when the cheers quickly, almost instantly, turned into shouts of outrage, seeing a child walking out, on both sides, many immediately yelling at Brunnhilde who stunned so many, looking calm, like she was okay with this decision.

-The weather god you were facing off against had the ability to split himself into six different bodies, making it a six on one fight, and he was furious, seeing a child facing against him as you grinned warmly, not having to adhere to normal battle rules and you called out your six partners.

-Everyone was in awe, seeing these magical creatures, which you called Pokemon, they were all so different looking and you beamed, your eyes narrowed in focus and determination.

-Your opponent split himself into his six forms, evening the odds, sneering down on you, “Don’t take this personally kid, but I’m going to beat you and those beasts of yours.”

-You didn’t look bothered at all, giving him a small smirk yourself, “Don’t underestimate us! We’ve been training for years now!!” and with that you called out your attacks, sending your Pikachu, Gengar, Lucario, Lycanroc, Noivern, and Snorlax into battle, calling out different attacks.

-Those in Valhalla had never seen Pokemon before, so they didn’t know what they could do, as your partners followed your orders, launching attacks against one or another of the clones.

-You kept back, staying safe, healing up your partners with potions, something some of the gods said was cheating, but it was part of your weapon, your backpack, as you came to Valhalla with it so it did count.

-The god managed to blow back your partners with a powerful attack, reforming into one and you recalled your Lycanroc and Noivern, as they had been knocked out in the blast as you prepared to launch a combined attack.

-You inhaled deeply before you glared up at him, “Time to get serious!” you grabbed the lip of your baseball cap and spun it around on your head, doing nothing but switching your hat, which many thought was rather amusing.

-Your opponent was less than amused, seeing this as you mocking him as he began to charge his attack and you looked at your remaining partners, “Let’s go boys! Pikachu use Thunder! Gengar use Shadow Ball! Lucario use Aura Sphere! Snorlax use Hyper Beam!!”

-The light from the combined attack was almost blinding as they all hit your opponent at the same time, easily wiping him out and leaving you as the clear winner of the match.

-You cheered along with the human crowd, hugging and praising your Pokemon for their hard work, recalling them into their Pokeballs except for Pikachu whom you picked up and headed backstage to heal up your team and celebrate with a feast that Brunnhilde promised you.

-You were young, but you were definitely not to be underestimated by any means!

I’m gonna assume you mean their friendship and not separate headcanons.

- Natalie was the first friend Jeff made when he and his family moved to Colorado. He saw that she had a little gengar keychain on her backpack, and he couldn’t help but bring up how much he loves Pokemon.

- Similarly, Jeff was the first person Natalie befriended when they reunited at the manor. They can not be separated ever. They are a package deal.

- Their dynamic summed up is: the chill woman who never plans anything ever, and her neurotic bestie who needs to have his whole day broken down by the hour or he will lose it.

- This is something that tends to cause tension. The fact that Natalie goes with the flow has Jeff worried she won’t accomplish her tasks when they need to be done. All while Jeff’s meticulous planning and general anxieties stresses Natalie out. It’s like:

Natalie: oh my god, get off my ass!

Jeff: I wouldn’t be on your ass if you actually did your job when you were supposed to!

- Despite Natalie’s relaxed nature, she and Jeff do get very competitive and do a lot of little challenges together. Like, who eats dinner the fastest? Who can kill the most monsters? Who can go a day without getting into trouble? (Neither can accomplish that one).

- They always know exactly what to say/do to get the other out of a funk. Jeff is there to give a hug and reassure Nat that things will always get better. Natalie knows how to pull Jeff out of an anxiety induced spiral with clear solutions to his problems.

- They’re big on physical affection (along with Toby but this isn’t about him). They cuddle a lot, they can casually share a bed with no problem, Natalie can straight up sit on Jeff’s lap if she wanted to. They don’t see it as a big deal to share these moments with close friends cause they’re so comfortable with the dynamic and frankly crave that kind of contact.

- They just adore each other, idk how else to say it. It may not be as obvious as it is when Toby is thrown into the mix cause Toby is very forward and in your face with his own form of affection, but Jeff and Natalie hold this deep connection with each other. They understand one another so well it’s almost scary. Something something, they finish each other’s sentences and all that.

Oh boy, this is definitely testing my childhood memories. I’m just going by vibes and looks for the most part.

Aegon: Pikachu, because he’s kinda gold-colored and Aegon has an aesthetic. Also Aegon would get shocked every time he hugs Pikachu but he keeps doing it.

Jace: Roselia because it’s a pretty Pokémon with roses, but also secretly poisonous apparently.

Aemond: Charmander (he can work his way toward Charizard).

Luce: Horsea because seahorse.

Daeron: Togepi, it literally makes people happy.

Joff: Gengar because…just look at ‘em.

Baela: Machamp because look at those muscles!! Baela would be tag-teaming with them to beat up everyone she doesn’t like. 😂

Rhaena: Clefairy because pink. Also it has teeny butterfly wings on its back.

Helaena: Caterpie because I don’t think you can get a more iconic bug Pokémon.

Ash sat on the ground, brushing the fur of a mamoswine, their newly acquired client. It was on its way out, finally content and okay with human contact and other pokemon around it. 

“There you go. It feels nice, right?” Ash grinned as the mamoswine rumbled, happy. 

Ash dropped the brush and stood up, wiping the sweat from his face with the back of his arm.

“Your trainer will come back for you tomorrow morning! You'll see all your friends again!” Ash patted the pokemon lightly. 

He waved as he walked away. He removed his hat and scrubbed a hand through his sweaty hair. 

“Pi pikachu!” Ash turned around and spotted Pikachu wagging his tail, perched on Paul's shoulder. 

“Paul! Pikachu!” He smiled. He jogged over to the pair standing on their back porch. 

Ash leaned over and pecked Paul on the cheek. Paul moved at the last minute and caught his lips instead. Ash flushed but grinned in return. 

Pikachu jumped onto his head and squeaked happily. 

“Welcome back, buddy. Did you protect Paul?” He asked. 

“Pika!” 

Paul shook his head and patted Pikachu l's back. “He did well. The group of wild magnemite have returned to the city.” 

“Good job, Pikachu! I knew we could count on you!” Ash exclaimed as he pulled out a sweet from his pocket and offered it to Pikachu. 

“How's the mamoswine?” Paul asked as he sat in and reclined in one of their porch chairs. 

Ash climbed on top, laying against Paul's chest. Pikachu hopped off and away to find friends. Paul wrapped his arms around Ash, feeling the dampness of his shirt against his arms. 

“It's fine. It wandered off into the woods, but its trainer is coming tomorrow.” Ash stretched in Paul's arms before turning to lay against Paul and on his side. 

“Tired?” Paul stroked Ash's arm. 

“Yeah, the mamoswine is fine now, but the wild Haunter’s been taking a lot out of me today.” 

“Gengar?” 

“Has been helpful, but this Haunter is probably just as playful. Gengar has had a hard time keeping it away and settled.” Ash yawned.

“Should we catch it?” Paul asked. 

“Maybe? I'll see in a few days. It comes and goes, so I don't think it feels comfortable yet.” Ash caught Paul's hand and tangled their fingers. 

“You go shower and take a nap. I'll feed all the pokemon. It's almost dinner time.” Paul smiled, squeezing Ash’s hand. 

Ash shook his head cutely against Paul’s chest. “No, I can help.” Ash yawned once more. 

“Fine. I'll move the chair into the shade and you can watch and rest.” 

“Fine.” Ash pouted as Paul moved to wiggle from under him. 

“Cynthia has a battle scheduled to air tonight. By the time I'm done we can shower and watch it together.” Paul stood up. 

“Really? We haven't showered together in forever!” Ash said excitedly. 

Paul shook his head. “You're impossible.” 

“Shower and a battle? Is this real?” Ash giggled in the chair. 

“You're too adorable for your own good.” Paul used a finger to tilt Ash’s chin. He planted a soft kiss on his chapped lips. 

“But Paul, shower and a battle! “ Ash pushed himself off the chair and hugged him. “We haven't had a night off in weeks.” 

Paul chuckled. “Love you, too. Let's not count our chickens. We have way too many pokemon right now.” 

“No need to worry, Paul. Our pokemon are helpful. It'll be no problem!” Ash stood up. “Suddenly, I'm so energetic!” 

Ash grabbed Paul’s hand. He almost tripped as he pulled Paul down the porch stairs. “Time to feed some pokemon!”

OOOO! The Clefairy/Gengar mix goes so well with them actually, especially with that theory that Gengar is essentially a ghost version of Clefairy. Sun and Moon match their vibes so well!

Honestly there's so many pokemon that it's a bit of a toughie to think of teams! But, imagining their teams as non-submas themed trainers and just their own goobers, I thinkkkk I'd set it up like this! ( Based off my own ooc ideas of the characters :3 )

Sun: Probably would work at a pokemon Nursery and/or focuses on doing Contests. (God I miss those-) I can't help but imagine Sun as someone with a caretaker personality, even if a little sassy, but he'd totally still be into theater no matter what universe!

Ambipom - I feel like this big ol' mon gives off goofy caretaker vibes, and with the extra set of large hands on its tails makes it extra helpful with wrangling and clean up. Plus, more hands mean more props and attacks for contests! It's definitely so playful that it can be a bit of a trouble maker, but when it's time to switch gears or follow rules, it is a stickler and can even be a little scary with how serious it becomes.

Togekiss (Raised from egg) - Okay, probably a bit of anime bias here but I love the little egg thing Togepi is and I feel like it would be perfect for Sun. Just one of the most baby pokemon around, lovely to raise, stubborn, and grows up into the most elegant thing ever. Perfect, muwah, would love to be on stage after demolishing a whole team solo with broken fairy typing.

Chimecho - Such a soothing pokemon. They help keep Sun from becoming anxious with their calm chimes and they're great at getting young pokemon to fall asleep or calm down after a tantrum. The calm to Sun's eccentric energy.

Gourgeist - Is it odd that I think this pokemon would be an amazing cook? Sun can definitely cook things for his pokemon well, but when he's overwhelmed, this buddy can whip up something delicious and even serve it with their psychic abilities to lower the workload. Generally friendly and is a little bit of a trouble maker when everyone's guard is down. Nothing dangerous, at least not on purpose, but all the kitchenware might go missing if someone forgets to say thank you.

Bellibolt - I'm still imagining Sun as an animatronic, so I feel like an electric type is just a requirement. Has the duty to be an emergency recharge, but besides that all this big guy have to do is be cute and happy. Just a gigantic stress ball that loves hugs, and Sun, pokemon, kids, and contest judges alike all love it. Just a silly chill lil guy.

Cinccino - This pokemon is well known for its cleaning habits. So besides being adorable and fluffy - a great cuddle buddy - they help keep the space nice and tidy. Cleanliness is just a must for Sun. Also, I love chinchillas and its a must to have one. It's cuteness and elegance makes it a fierce competitor during competitions but honestly a terrible battler; more worried about keeping itself clean and pretty instead of winning.

Moon: Possibly works as a pokemon ranger (based off the side games) and is a ace trainer that is reformed off an evil team. Idk, my views of his personality is very similar to Silver and well, we know his history with Team Rocket- anyways, I think having a similar background would make him very serious about battle and rescuing others/pokemon.

Banette - Likely to have been with Moon as his first pokemon. Banette's pokedex entries consider it as a vengeful abandoned doll, and seeing it's a tragic but powerful pokemon, I feel like it would be serious but clingy in the quietest ways. It will help Moon in any way it can as Moon adopted it from an evil team and showed it true care, but it does not like any other pokemon getting attention, giving death glares and silently pulling off nasty tricks when no one is looking. Their strong bond makes mega evolving effective in a pinch. (Lets just assume they got the stone somehow its okay bbg)

Ferrothorn - Ignore its stats, this gigantic thing should really be a tank and I am wishing it as one. They're spikey but have a caring nature, and with the way it clings to ceilings or raises its body above things with its noodle legs, it makes it very maneuverable and helpful when it comes to traversing harsh locations. It craves affection, so give em a good pat and they'll love you forever.

Scolipede - Poison Horse. I love it, and it can be amazing in battle if you do the right things. I'm not the best at forming a competitive team, but narrative wise, its thick exoskeleton makes it very durable, its ability to curl up and roll makes it very fast, and it's a great buddy to help move from place to place fast, even when holding 2 people on its back. Probably the most stubborn and self important of the group.

Inteleon - It may be ehhhh to put a starter on this list, but I feel like Inteleon is a mon that would be great in the ranger line of work. A water type is a must for handling fires and to douse any moody flare ups within a group. Plus, water is a must for all life, so it creates an emergency water source. It has great sight from a distance and probably would act more like a scout that will climb up from high areas and leap between large gaps to find whatever it is they're after today. Likes to go at things alone but only wants to provide as much as it possibly can.

Heliolisk - This pokemon is so cool and I don't see enough of it! Definitely a bit of a trouble maker with a childish attitude outside of work. Again, imagining Moon still as an animatronic in this universe, the necessity of having an emergency charge from an electric type seems like a must. It also is great as an emergency light source by holding in an electrical charge in its mouth/hands. However, the dry skin of this pokemon makes it durable, able to withstand extreme heat, and as a lizard it should totally be able to stick to walls, which makes it great for caves or for being a pokemon to rely on during sticky situations. (Budum-tissss) I always forget it's not a ground type, but in my heart it is.

Cofagrigus - This mon scares me so much that I love it. Just a creepy design, but also the amount of move sets and strategies this one pokemon can do is insane. IDK jack about competitive pokemon, but even I know that this is a pokemon to be weary of to go against. This'll probably be Moon's main battle pokemon, where his strategies during a full pokemon battle against a trainer would revolve around Cofagrigus. In reality though, this Cofagrigus is the most motherly towards the team and wrangles everyone into being orderly and just is the general problem solver with interpersonal problems.

If i'm honest, a lot of this list can be exchanged with different pokemon. I mostly chose these based off vibe and some based off typing, but there's probably better pokemon for them out there lol

Hi! I just wanted to say that I absolutely love George. He is the most precious Gengles. I would give him a hug but not so sure how'd he'd react to that lol. But, I do have a question. How does George react to other Gengar's? Does he get along with them or despise them?

George isn't a fan of most other beings, especially ghosts. Ghosts can harm other ghosts so he tends to posture, flex and show he's stronger so they won't come near him

Got my hair done and ordered a new hoodie, which will render me deep in Pokemon Trainer Vibes. Specifically grass and poison, but then i went and put effort into the idea of having several oddish chilling on a torterra and then i ran with it.

Pokemon pictured: A Torterra that grows mainly Cheri berries, but also pecha and persim berries on bushes. Four oddish that grew on torterra and have been vibing ever since. A gengar helping carry plant food to enrich torterra's back.

Not pictured: A swampert that is too lazy to carry things, but uses its sharp eyesight to spot anything off on the plants/tests the water quality and helps keep things clean. A rescue granbull that gets pranked by the gengar more often than my trainersona would like. A low key toxtricity that takes 0 shit from the gengar and strums low volume/tone white noise when my sona is dealing with a migraine so they can tune out worse sounds.

Basically it is a truth universally acknowledged that any trainersona of mine will figure out how to work with their pokemon to live with their disabilities. For example, getting outside to tend to the Garden Gang means sunlight and fresh air, which is good for depression. Toxtricity's poison sweat could probably be altered into a pain killer for my fibro nerve pain, so long as i kept its water clean and it's food very specific. But to keep the actual punch of the poison being strong enough to get to the nerves/be effective, it gets to binge eat whatever it wants for like four days a month after a good supply of sweat is extracted. And the sound helps, as does targeted shocks to aching muscles. Swampert is the ideal aid pokemon when your nerves/joints demand a lot of time in the water, not to mention if it can tell a hurricane is coming, it can probably tell a panic attack is coming and just. [removes me from the situation]. Gengar and Granbull i probably just befriended at some point and Gengar is chill about spooking me on full moons bc my heart, and it lowering the temp is great for when i get hot flashes or need to keep cool in summer. Granbull is probably just baby tbh, though it's skittishness aside, it would probably serve similar function to swampert just... able to go more places without drying out/getting stuck. Oddish is just there because i love them and them burying themselves in the soil helps Torterra. The mix of berries on Torterra treat poison, paralysis, and confusion. Wonderful combo to snack on when fibro hits ya. Not to mention very useful when gengar 'i love u' licks to the face are paralytic, and so are toxtricity hugs.

Yes i used all my energy drawing this and thinking of Team Lore so i didn't color it. Which i'm fine with because its cute.

i’m 18 yrs old, and hang around unova. um. here’s me. and my pokemon.

Maru is my ace, and very first pokemon. I’ve had her for more than.. about 15 years. He’s never left my side, and is very caring to those she loves. He also loves shiny things- to the point that when she evolved with all the things she’s collected in his wax, they carried to his evolution! Maru loves battling, and is very strong to boot. She has a track record for taking on foes almost twice his level- and doing so trilling happily. How could you not love her? [she/he, around level 57]

Mal, long story short, is a shithead. fuck them. Affectionately. They’re missing one eye, but loooves not only going into electronics, but creating them. They created their own main inhabitant- A prosthetic arm, which makes them electric/steel type. A smartass who loves causing trouble, AND steals my phone (more on that later). I care for them, though, and they care for me. I guess that counts for something. [they/them (rotoms are genderless lmao), around level 55]

Miss Tye is very temperamental, but is very loyal and protective of those she loves (especially Charm.) Her and her ‘sister’, Charm, stowed away on a ship from Galar, and appeared in Unova. She’s very sweet when she has a reason to be, but pretty easy to anger. She hits, and hits hard in battle, so she’s quite the force to be reckoned with. [she/her, around level 55]

Charm had appeared with Miss Tye, and was a milcery at the time. She had wanted to evolve for so long, so much so she kept her bow sweet, even after it broke in half. I gave her a berry sweet, but the bow sweet kept with her! Her cream is of salt and mint (two of my favs!!). Apparently, she wanted to evolve like so, so she could be blue, like her ‘sister,’ Tye. She is not much of a battler, so If I get a new pokemon, They may be on my team. Charm prefers to be a support in double battles, and she’s very good at it. [she/her, around level 30]

Locket just.. appeared in my house? I was on vacation, and upon coming back, we had an egg. I didn’t expect him to be a shiny when he hatched, but I love him very much!! I use him when I come across low-level trainers that challenge me to a battle. Otherwise, it would be no fun. [he/him, around level 10]

Arom is the only pokemon I’ve received as a gift- I got her as an applin from my (girl)friend, Maxie. She often competes with charm as to who smells better. A friend-of-a-friend sent me the Dragon Cheer TM, so I can evolve her, but I think I’ll wait a bit. [she/her, around level 53]

There’s a few pokemon that appear that I haven’t caught- and they don’t want to be caught. They stick around. I like them.

Jackie is a gengar, and he’s one of the owners of the little house I reside in. Apparently, him and Rasp used to be rivals ‘back in the day’ (126 old ass…) but now be spends his time being lazy (I say this affectionately), bothering rasp (I’m convinced they’re married in some weird way), or just fucking around. He’s cool. Would give good hugs if he wasn’t. Yknow. Part poison type. [he/him]

Rasp is a trevenant, and he’s the second owner of where I stay. I would say he’s like a mother, if he wasn’t a 126 year old gay tree. Very galarian (yuck/j). I do love him a lot, as I have him to thank for teaching me how to cook. (Arc knows what I’d be doing if I didn’t have a hobby.) He keeps all the shitheads living here from burning the damn house down, and hell, if that isn’t an achievement, I dunno what is. [he/him]

Sev is a Dhelmise- arc knows how old he is at this point- and he often travels from unova to alola to paldea, and more. I don’t have much to say about him, considering that I don’t see him often (I mean, he’s in unova like.. 1/4 of the time, anyways. and it’s not like he’s straying away from the sea.) there’s gonna be a few other bloggers you see me interact with a lot so, it may be helpful to give a small introduction. i guess.

@aco-knight is the resident Creature (trix coming in a close second on the Creature scale), and it’s just a little bastard. other honorary non-blood-related sibling, because apparently darkrai’s just.
